Bridal makeup studio
Plum Letter is a small bridal makeup studio for brides who want to look like themselves in every photograph — skin first, colour second, and nothing that needs rescuing by the first dance.
Getting-ready mornings. I travel to you and work from wherever the light is best.
Trials by appointment. Held in the studio, unhurried, with notes you keep.
The full kit arrives at your room, your parents' house or the cottage you rented for the weekend.
Prep, cleanse and a base matched in daylight, so the finish looks like skin rather than makeup.
After your trial you get a simple schedule for the morning, so nobody is guessing at 7am.
The services
Every booking is quoted individually once I know your date, location and how many faces are in the room. Below is what each one usually includes.
Your wedding-day makeup, applied at your getting-ready location with time built in for photographs.
An unhurried studio appointment where we build the look together and write down what works.
Mothers, sisters and bridesmaids, scheduled around you so the room stays calm and on time.
Small ceremonies, registry-office mornings and styled shoots that need a camera-ready finish.
How it works
Tell me the date, the venue area and roughly how many people need makeup. I reply with availability and a quote for exactly what you asked for — no packages you did not want.
We try two directions, adjust until it feels like you, and I write down every product and shade. You leave with photographs of the finished look in daylight and indoor light.
I set up early, work to the timing plan we agreed, and stay through the first photographs so anything that needs softening gets softened before you walk out.
Gallery
Soft definition, warm neutrals and a base that holds through a long day of hugging people.
The artist
I started Plum Letter because too many brides told me the same thing after their trial elsewhere: it was beautiful, but it was not their face.
So I work the other way round. We begin with your skin and the light you will actually be photographed in, then add only what earns its place. I keep a fragrance-free option for every step of the base, I patch test anything new at the trial, and I write the whole thing down so you could recreate it yourself on your anniversary.
One artist, one wedding a day. That is the whole model — it means your morning is never shared with someone else's.

Questions
Anywhere within a comfortable morning's drive of the studio is included. Further afield is welcome too — I will simply add travel and, for very early starts, accommodation to the quote before you commit to anything.
For wedding-day bookings, yes. The trial is where the timing plan and product notes come from, and it is the difference between a calm morning and a hopeful one. Elopements and editorial work can be booked without one.
As soon as you have a date. Because I take one wedding a day, weekends in the warmer months go first. If your date has gone, I will say so straight away rather than leaving you waiting.
Tell me in your enquiry. I keep fragrance-free cleansers, primers and bases in the kit, and we patch test at the trial so there are no surprises on the day. Bring anything your dermatologist has recommended and we will build around it.
I hold a date informally for seven days after sending your quote. If someone else asks for the same day inside that window, I will contact you first before releasing it.

Fill in what you know so far. I read every message myself and reply with availability and a quote — usually within a couple of days.
